Lindsey and Mike are married! Their wedding was held at the incredibly beautiful Oxon Hill Manor in Maryland. I have loved working with these two!! They are so laid back, kind, and loads of fun! Their wedding was just perfect… with a beautiful color palette of purple and blue, gorgeous florals, and a venue that oozed romance and charm it couldn’t have been better.  They are an amazing couple and it was such an honor being a part of it all! I am so, so excited to finally share their wedding with all of you!! xoxo <3

WhitneyVirginia Fine Art Wedding Photographer

This weekend was incredible! I spent all day yesterday and today trying to stay caught up. Although we’ve been having crazy weather here in Virginia (monsoons every day), I photographed two beautiful weddings! Saturday, I had the honor of photographing Whitney and Braden’s lake front wedding in White Stone, VA. It was sooooo pretty and filled with tons of adorable details. I can’t wait for those scans to come back from the lab but in the meantime… I’m so excited to finally share Whitney’s bridal portraits with all of you today!

Matt & JesPuerto Rico | Destination Wedding Photographer

I recently had the honor to photograph an amazing wedding in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was my very first destination wedding and it was incredible! It is my hope to shoot destination weddings more often. It was also my first time visiting Puerto Rico which is crazy beautiful… I kept thinking to myself, how is this place even real!?

Jes and Matt are seriously the sweetest!!! We met a few years ago at Tori and Jonathan’s wedding and we’ve kept in touch ever since. My assistant and I flew in a few days before the wedding to get settled and scope out locations, we also had the honor to attend their rehearsal dinner. Let me just tell you…. if you ever have the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico, do yourself a favor and visit La Estacion!! Best food evaaaaa… oh my goodness! We stayed at the beautiful El Conquistador resort during our visit. That place is huge and has all of the amenities you could ever dream of… it even has it’s very own private island!

Jes, Matt, and I decided to do their portraits on the resort’s private island and I am SO glad we did. The ocean was warm, the sand was soft, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I am a beach girl so this was heaven for me! Even though we were battling extreme heat, Matt and Jes were total champs through their portraits.

Oh, and I can’t forget to tell you all about the awesome animals there! Y’all know I loveeeee animals! The iguana’s were HUGE and so cool. I about died when I found out about them and had to see one for myself… I wanted to take them home with me but they were fast little boogers. Oh, and these huge caterpillar looking thingys… I have never seen anything like them but they lived in these pretty pink trees with flowers. I loved them!

After their first look and portraits, we headed back to the resort for the ceremony. I seriously loved every minute of it! My favorite part was the honey ceremony. I’d never seen anything like it and thought it was so perfect for these two. Their day was magical in every way… and this tropical paradise just made it that much more magical. I am so, so, so excited to finally share Matt & Jes’ beautiful island wedding with all of you today! Congratulations you two!!!

Eeek! What an incredible weekend it was… I photographed two beautiful weddings and I’m gearing up for two more this coming weekend. Tis the season, right? I photographed Megan & Brian’s charming wedding Saturday and it was perfect. Ah! I can’t wait to share it with all of you. You may remember these two from their engagement session in the spring. Well, today, I am thrilled to share Megan’s bridal portraits with all of you! She is such a beauty… and I just love her to pieces!!

Recent FeaturesWedding Chicks, Grey Likes Weddings, Wedding Sparrow...

Is it just me or is this week flying by? I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I’m excited for another weekend but I have LOTS of work to do. As soon as I finish this post, the plan is to tackle 3 weddings before I shoot 2 more this weekend. I kind of want to spend my afternoon working on the deck in the sun… I desperately need some color! I’m loving this summer weather we’ve been having in Virginia :)
