It’s that time of year again. The time when families gather, the weather turns cold, Christmas decorations go up… the time of year that gets me all giddy inside. For this week’s Bridal Bliss I decided to create a warm, fall harvest palette perfect for a wedding around this time of year. I imagine a cozy indoor ceremony, maybe at a lodge or cabin of some sort with lots of candles illuminating the room and a warm fire going. There could even be a basket at the front with plaid blankets rolled up for guests that get chilly. During cocktail hour or the reception, wintery drinks such as hot cocoa could be served. The idea of using pies over the traditional wedding cake would work really well for this type of wedding. I envision a color palette of warm browns, golds and a touch of blue and maybe a little grey thrown in here and there. Textures such as tweed, corduroy and velvet would be a perfect addition to a “Harvest” inspired wedding. I could ramble with ideas for days. I love posting these design or inspiration boards. I feel like it really gives me the opportunity to mesh my background in Interior Design with my love of photography. So there you have it, a wedding theme perfect for this Thanksgiving season.
