WPPI 2012My trip to viva las vegas

How on earth am I supposed to sum up my trip to Vegas and not write a novel?! I have so many stories to share and so many cool things happened while I was gone. I met so many awesome people! It was such an amazing blessing!! I am really happy I was able to attend WPPI this year! I guess I’ll start by saying I’ve REALLY been wanting to go, for about 3 years now! Well, I finally made it happen. I’m a homebody, I live in a small town, I’m not used to the city… this was a huge leap for me, but totally worth it! I wish I had gone sooner. Although I was nervous, I was fortunate enough to have awesome friends with me throughout the way. I attended LOTS of classes and meetups (some of which I’ll talk about in a few) I toured and shopped around Vegas, went out to eat a few times, tried sushi for the first time ever, went to a party, witnessed a proposal and attended a wedding, rode in a mammoth limo and on a monorail, hung out with friends and made new ones… basically it was just plain ole’ awesome! That’s basically how I should put it :) Now, onto the photos…

The beautiful view outside of my hotel room!

Hey look, it’s Zoe Grant… I love this girl! You may remember her senior portraits I shot in the fall!

Ah, it’s Jasmine Star!

I think I was most excited about hearing Jose Villa speak. He brings me so much inspiration and excitement for photography! He is BY FAR my favorite photographer of all time and although he doesn’t know this, he will be shooting my wedding… whenever that will be :) LOVE, love, love, love him! Seriously, if you haven’t seen his work… go check it out- you will thank me later!

Another thing I was incredibly excited about was to see Cypress Albums in person. I’ve wanted to see them, hold them and touch them for the longest time now. Well, they far surpassed my expectations and were even more beautiful than I had imagined. I knew from the moment I first saw them they would be right for me and my clients. They are SO, so beautiful and the quality is outstanding! I am very excited to announce that I will be adding these beauty’s to my product collection.

I absolutely LOVED Jessica Claire!

And how could I have survived WPPI without Tori?! Who knows!! Not only was she 1 of my roommates, but she served as my flight partner, my bed buddy AND my entertainment :) I love this girl and feel so lucky to have gotten to know her and spend as much time with her as I did!! You are such an amazing person Tori and I really value our friendship… even if my notebook “says” otherwise ;)

Ohhhh that hallway. That was the hallway that I walked and walked and walked to get to and from my classes and my hotel.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these girls!! I spent a lot of my time hanging out with Ashley, Ashley and Jen during my trip to Vegas. One of the highlights of my week was being a part of Ashley and Jeremy’s wedding. Monday night, Jeremy proposed to Ashley and it was seriously one of the coolest things to witness someone being proposed to… and not just anyone, a friend. I felt so lucky to be there at that place and time to witness it. Wednesday, they were married… and it was perfect. I definitely got teary eyed during the ceremony and it was just a really, really awesome experience!!! I love you guys! Another fun highlight of my week was Jen’s and my date night! We ate at the incredibly fabulous Wynn buffet and can I just say… it was the bomb.com?! The food was soooo good!!! We shopped, bonded, and shopped some more- I had so much fun AND she promised me we will make a tradition of it! And pardon the photo, my new friend Nick isn’t a Nikon user and was having technical difficulties :)

And, Justin & Mary. I just can’t say enough about these two. Seriously, they are soooo awesome! Their class was so beneficial to me, it really made me take a step back and look at my “dreams” and see that my dreams really aren’t dreams at all. I need to think big, REALLY BIG! God didn’t put me on this earth to just sit in the background, I am created for greatness! I have a big personality and a big heart and I want to share it with the world! Thank you Justin & Mary, I am so excited and so lucky to have had the opportunity to meet you both and hear you speak!

Ahhhhh! So excited about these next pictures :)

And last, but certainly not least- I got to see Jill! We did not get to spend enough time together but I love this girl and I’m so glad I at least got a picture with her!!

And finally, you all probably know by now… I am basically the Instagram queen! So, you know I had my iPhone ready at all times! I promise I’ll take more “real” pictures next year :) But this collage pretty much sums up anything I may have left out!
