One afternoon in the fall I received a phone call from our good family friend Burnlie. She was so excited telling me that Lucy had been proposed to and that her and Matt were getting married! (Yay!) I know I’ve said it in previous posts but, I just LOVE this family! I was so honored and excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding! We got together in December for their engagement session and again at the beginning of March for her bridal session.
Last Friday morning, I arrived at Montaigne’s beautiful home. Things were being set up, Lucy was getting ready and food was being delivered! We were blessed with a gorgeous spring day with bright shining sun and a cool breeze. Lucy & Matt prepared a very small, quaint, backyard wedding with all of their closest friends and family followed by lunch & cupcakes. As I’m photographing details around the house, guests begin to arrive. Everyone was beaming with excitement and you could just feel the joy in their home! It was so lovely meeting new faces and seeing good friends. The ceremony was delightful. Simple and beautiful. I think that must have been their theme. I loved being there and enjoyed every minute of it! It was such a special day!
