As you may have seen, read or heard somewhere…. I am a animal obsessed. I am a self professed “Crazy Cat Lady” …I take WAY too many pictures of all of my animal babies. I just can’t help myself, they are so cute?! Of course I am biased :) We have 8 pets total, 5 doggies and 3 kitties. I still live at home with my parents so technically they aren’t all mine. Ladie, the poodle, is my little girl. She was my very first pet and a gift from my Mama. I love that dog more than I can even contemplate! I also have Miss Kitty. I plan to write a full blog post about all of my animal children (You can see all 8 of them in this post) but Miss Kitty is my very first cat. Basically, she just started coming up to our house and I decided to adopt her because I fell in love with her. Then there is Mr. Grey. He is the SWEETEST cat animal on the entire planet. All he wants is someone to cuddle with him and give him kitty treats. He too, was a stray kitty I fell in love with and just HAD to adopt :) And lastly, there’s Theodore. My baby… my little boy… you may remember the Tale of Theodore post I did about why he is so special to me. He is a bengal kitty I found when he was just a kitten and I raised him to be mine :) I admit, it is a little weird how obsessed I am with him but I love him so much. I really can’t help it.
So, the other day I log into my Facebook and start going through my notifications. I received one from Meghan Ely of OFD Consulting where she had seen an article on the BuzzFeed website about cats on instagram and found my baby Theodore among the kitties featured!!! I squealed with excitement as I scrolled to see my little boy! I don’t know how they chose them or how they found him but I think it’s so cool :) You can see the article here. The title of the article is “30 Instagram Kitties with Feelings” and they had images of cats along with funny little captions.
I scroll down until I got to #28 to find Theodore stretched over the edge of our sofa! Apparently, he was “resisting the urge to text his ex-girlfriend” haha! I still can’t stop laughing about it! I guess all the millions of photos I post of him all over instagram and Facebook were worth it. I always joke that he is an internet sensation! At least once a week I will have someone (who I am just meeting or barely know) tell me how adorable my cat is, or how much they love Theo. It is kind of creepy but cool at the same time.
After I saw the article, I grabbed Theodore to show him how famous he was. He of course was excited, but not surprised. He has quite a personality and gives off the vibe that he thinks he’s a king and rules everything. So, I’m pretty sure he was already expecting it :) hehe! As I mentioned, he LOVESSSS posing for pictures and hopes to be featured again soon! I’m sure he’s been bragging to all of our other animals about it. He is so cute, when I showed it to him- he reached out at the screen like “that’s me!” He is famous for sitting in front of the mirror and staring and patting himself. He loves his reflection! As you can see, I am very excited about this and plan to continue photographing all of my animals and posting them for everyone to see! For now, Theodore is content and enjoying his moment in the spotlight.
And for all the people that follow me on instagram (my instagram name is @lauragordon) I apologize that 90% of my pictures are of cats :) What can I say??! They ARE adorable! And for those of you that don’t know about instagram, you need it! If you have an iPhone or a Droid you have to have it. It’s an awesome free app you download and share images of your life. You can follow others and people follow you. You can comment and like images too! It’s a lot of fun!
