As Becky and I were emailing back and forth about her and Steven’s engagement session- I knew just the place for their session! She wanted cows and a field, etc. Well lucky for me, most of my family members are farmers and/or live on a farm! You may remember this location from my sister, Sarah’s film shoot. Well Becky and Steven’s session is also ALL FILM :) I’m really loving film and excited to shoot more and more with it!
Becky and Steven are the SWEETEST! They are so easy to work with and really relaxed. They barely got scared when the bull started following a little too close… no worries, Henry (my great uncle) was there to save the day! But really, they were just a complete joy to work with! I am so excited for their wedding coming up SOON in Charlottesville at the beautiful, Cross Keys Vineyard!!!
Becky’s outfit choices for the session were awesome! I really loved both dresses and felt that the colors worked so perfectly for the setting. The bright colors next to the natural tones were so pretty! And apparently the cows liked her outfits at well because they had a wonderful time watching us shoot :)
After we started shooting, it started clouding up on us and we could hear thunder in the distance… it looked like it was going to POUR! They had been calling for storms all day but I thought we would just get lucky and miss it since it had been so sunny. Well the wind began to roar and the clouds turned black! I thought we were going to have to call it a day– but LUCKY US it went right around… we didn’t get a single drop of rain anddddd the sun even decided to peek out for us just for a moment so I could get a few right before the sun went down!
I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work with such amazing couples!! Becky and Steven, you guys are awesome and I’m soooo excited for the wedding :)
