I am a very sentimental person… I always have been. I’ve gotten really used to controlling my emotions while I’m working. Sometimes I can’t help it and I get all warm and fuzzy inside. Joanna and Soren’s wedding was probably one of the most touching weddings I’ve ever been to.
I first met them back in April for their GORGEOUS pink, cherry blossom filled engagement session in Washington, DC. It was almost immediately you could feel their love for one another radiating. They are so easy to photograph because you barely have to pose them… they are so natural together and hold each other so close. I think my favorite thing about photographing them is the way they look at each other and interact. I don’t know how to explain it but their love is kind of like a fairytale… it’s almost too perfect to be real.
Joanna and Soren have hearts of gold. They are the SWEETEST, most genuine people. They flew me in to New Jersey all the way from Caroline County Virginia to photograph their perfect day! They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I was a part of their family. I even spent the evening before their wedding as a guest hanging out with their family and friends on a beautiful dinner cruise. It was a magical experience and I LOVED getting to meet everyone before the wedding day!
Joanna and Soren opted to do a first look before the ceremony where Soren was waiting with a single white rose and a letter as Joanna met him on the front steps. I felt so much emotion that day, standing there on that porch as I photographed this couple so in love just beginning their lives together. They held each other so close and I can’t tell you how many times Soren kissed her on her head, her hand or her cheek. They are the perfect love story I tell you… and it’s love like theirs that pushes me to be in this industry!
I could go on and on about how magical this wedding was or how special it was to me but I’ll stop rambling and let you get to the pictures!
